Borgo Pio was chosen by Pope Benedict XVI, and Cardinal Ratzinger as his Roman residence until his election as Pontiff. Consists of a fully equipped kitchenette for the preparation of your meals, an extendable table in the dining area for up to 6 people, a living room with a sofa bed, two large double bedrooms, and a large bathroom with a shower with excellent design fixtures. From the living room, it is possible to access a delightful terrace surrounded by greenery, with a table and chairs to enjoy a nice breakfast or an aperitif once back home. All rooms have furniture that mixes th(hidden)ssic with the modern. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, TV, washing machine, and wi-fi connection. The Basilica might be defined as a collection of masterpieces: the dome designed by Michelangelo, the facade and square designed by Bernini, and the bronze statue of Pieta also by Michelangelo just to name some. Thousands of people can fit in St. Peter's Square, with its magnificent colonnades which resemble long open arms inviting the believers to join the functions. Guided tours are available to visit the Church, the Chapel, and the Museums. Our choice of apartments in St. Peter's area, within walking distance from St. Angel's Castle and Piazza Navona, is perfectly suitable for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the city center and be able to reach the Roman nightlife easily but without being too close to the busiest streets.
