This means that you motivate and support each other in your studies, shop, prepare and eat meals together, chill out together and engage in social activities together (cinema, shopping, sports, going out, city trips (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Brugge), and perhaps even organize vacation together). And when one of you is going through a rough patch, the others are there for support. Of course, you also have your own bedroom where you can study quietly or retreat if you want privacy. Great location, just 200m from Kralingse Plas (lake) and park (great for running and other activities). Area is very popular among students. Close to University, lots of shops, restaurants and close to city center and highway. Public transport is just a short walk away. Erasmus University is only a 10 minute bike ride (2.6 km) away. Leases are generally for 12 months, but can normally be extended thereafter. Registration with the Rotterdam municipality is allowed. The all-in rate for this room is €1.088 per month, and the all-in rate for the entire apartment is €3.379 per month. The other two rooms are slightly bigger and more expensive at €1.141 resp €1.150 per month. This includes rent of the apartment, incl. technical upkeep of the apartment, introduction to Rotterdam, introduction to living in the Netherlands, point of contact for family/parents, coaching in terms of living away from home in a foreign country, study advice, thesis advice, municipal levies and building association fees. All prices are for a 12 months rental period. The apartment has three separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a separate shared toilet. There is an open kitchen/dining area (incl. washing machine and dishwasher). The total apartment space is 80 m2 (plus storage for bikes etc. in basement). The prices as of August 1, 2025 are as follows: Bedroom A (13.7 m2) w small balcony, price € 1.088 Bedroom B (17.1 m2), price € 1.141 Bedroom C (17.4 m2), price € 1,150 The apartment is leased under one contract and each “family” member contributes his/her part of the rent, utility charges and household costs. As per August 31 (possibly earlier), the apartment will become available for rent. Leases generally end on August 30 of the next year. Registration with the Rotterdam municipality is allowed. Prices include municipal levies and building association fees. Prices include €170 for furniture, furnishings, bedlinen, towels and fully equipped kitchen. Prices also include €90 as advance for utilities and internet, to be settled based on actual use. The apartment is modern and the rooms are fully furnished for use as a student room. The apartment was recently upgraded and refurbished in order to rent out to three students (i.e., you will share the apartment with two flat mates, but each tenant has his own room). Visits or online viewings can be organized based on your wishes. If you do not have two friends to rent the apartment with, we will try setting up introductions with potential future roommates. We strive to provide well furnished rooms for a reasonable price, in traditional pre-war apartments in the nicest neighborhood of Rotterdam, so that it is easy for you to feel at home. At the same time, you will feel part of the Dutch student community, because you live, study, shop and socialize in Kralingen. If anything is missing, tenants simply ask us if they can order it, and we typically agree to reimburse them for the cost.
