This medieval grain warehouse finds its origin in the second half of the 14th century (Zwaansteeg) with an extension later on, that can be accessed from Oudegracht. This building was originally accessible via a road under the Oudegracht building 227 and one can image it has a rich and long history.
The grain warehouse was significantly enlarged to its present size in the second quarter of the 17th century and its destination changed over time. The name ‘Pandhuis'(pawnshop) was given to the building after a bank of loan was established in the property in 1719. In conjunction with this, the original older building Oudegracht 229, renewed in 1764, was used as a home and office connected to the Pandhuis.
The fully furnished and equipped serviced apartments inside this lovely building have a modern interior that includes a dining area, comfy sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet, one or two bedrooms with a double bed, and a nice view from the apartment at the front side of the building. The apartments vary from four loft style apartments on the ground floor, to one bedroom apartments and larger two-bedroom units, each of which have been decorated in modern and comfortable style.
The Canal Garden Apartment is located on the second floor, accessible by stairs. The apartment has two bedrooms (each with a double bed), a bathroom and a separate toilet.
Public transportation
Utrecht Central is the heart of the rail network in the Netherlands and the entrance gate to the city of Utrecht. The network of Utrecht connects the various public transport types: bus, tram, bicycle and train. Utrecht is located in the heart of the Netherlands, therefore all trains will stop here and arrive at the same destination every 15 minutes.
From Utrecht Central Station all our apartments are located within 10 minutes walking distance. If you take the bus it will also take you approximately about 10 minutes between our apartments and Utrecht Central Station.
Neighborhood
From the apartment building one overlooks the garden of the former Regulieren Monastery, hence the apartments name. The first mentioning of this monastery dates back to 1267 AD, which makes the location not only a very nice and quiet place in the heart of the city, but also a location that contributes to the background of Utrecht’s historical city centre.

- The first month's rent will be completed through HousingAnywhere. And the deposit needs to be paid to use before the check-in.

A beautiful recently renovated apartment (living room, bathroom, bedroom with one bed, laundry area), situated at one of the most beautiful streets of the Wilhelminapark, Schilderswijk ('painters neighbourhood') area in Eastern Utrecht.
Period:
Available for 12 month period. Extension possible after that, preferably per full academic year, commencing September 1st up and until August 31st. Early move-in might be possible, please contact me through the message option if interested.
Amenities:
The living room is furnished with a dining table, separate desk for working at home and a lounge area with a couch, flatscreen television and chairs. The kitchen has all the amenities you need: a four pit induction stove, dishwasher and fridge. The bedroom is furnished with a bed (+ a full size guest bed stored underneath), chair, bedside table, coat rack, and plenty of storage space. The luxurious bathroom is equipped with rain shower, toilet, sink and some extra storage space. Next to t the bathroom is a separate laundry area with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The apartment has a special temperature control system for the separate rooms and there is a (obligatory) cleaning lady to keep everything clean and tidy. Last but not least, there is a private balcony, 2 x 3 m, with sun on it during the afternoon and evening!
Entrance:
The apartment is situated on its own (top) floor and is accessible through a common hallway shared with the residence that is situated at the two below floors. The residence below is in use by the owner. We are looking for a tenant that keeps the common hallway cheerful and respects each other's peace and privacy.
Location:
The location is excellent, the apartment is situated in a very nice neighbourhood near the city centre, Utrecht Medical Centre and Utrecht University. In my personal opinion this is definitely one of the best places to live in Utrecht.

This is a fully renovated and furnished 60m2 apartment with your own private terrace facing south. The apartment is located just 10 minutes from Utrecht Central station and only 5 minutes from Utrecht Zuilen. If a car is your mode of transport, you’ll be pleased with the included free parking and highway access just 10 minutes away.
As you enter Sunflower Apartment on the first floor, you'll step into an open kitchen with island. The kitchen comes fully equipped with new appliances, including induction cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, full freezer and fridge. Next to the kitchen is the dining area on the right and the living room on the left. Show off your cooking skills to your guests or just relaxed and stare out the windows after a hard day’s work. From around 11.00 in the morning you can enjoy the sun on your own terrace till late in the evening.
On the front side of the apartment you'll find the bedroom with a nice 160*200 bed that comes with handy storage draws underneath and a large closet. From the bedroom you enter the stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower, modern bathroom furniture that includes a mirror with dimmable lighting and anti-fog system and a new washer & dryer combination.
In your spare time you can take a 5min walk to ‘Juliana Park’ where people come to meet, picknick, jog or find their spirit animal in the petting zoo. Or you can just hop on a bicycle, bus or train and have a drink in the City Center or the close by local brewery ‘Brouwerij de Leckere’.
Practical:
The apartment is fully furnished, decorated and has all the basic equipment you need. On the north side is the bed- and bathroom and on the south side you have your living and dining area as well as your own terrace. Each room has its own thermostat so you can always be comfortable. You will have your own Wifi access point and cable Internet (300mbs), a smart TV with general apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazone Prime and more.
Location: The apartment is located in Zuilen, Utrecht.
- Supermarkets like the Boni around the corner (250 meters) and the Albert (hidden) within a local shopping Centre only 600m.

About the owner & the house:
I’ve bought this house in the beginning of 2021 and have been thoroughly renovating it for the past 1.5 year. By that I mean changing layouts & stairs, constructing a brand new second floor, replacing all plumbing systems, new electricity, sound dampening and isolating wherever I could. Basically, it's a new house;). The goal was to make it a quality home for myself and two tenants. So this started as a personal project to live in myself and later changed to a full rental house. The upside of it is that I’ve thought of all details and always choose quality over time. I’m really pleased with the result and enjoyed seeing my own creative idea’s come to life.
