Starting December 1 we have an available room for rent. The apartment is definitely large (180 (hidden)), the room is quite small but has a private bathroom and a spacious queen-size bed with brand new mattrass and pillows (still unused). The room and bathroom walls have been repainted less than one month ago (July 2024).
If you are already in Rome you can contact us for visiting it at anytime.
Our flat is located in the Monteverde area, at walking distance to the Trastevere station, in an area that is very well connected to the public transportation network (two train stations, two tram stations, several bus stops are at walking distance). Ideal location to reach FAO, WFP, John Cabot University, American Academy, etc...
Our flat is quite spacious at 180 square meters (about 2000 sq.feet) and it's fully furnished.
There is a spacious living-room with a functioning fireplace, a 28" flat screen tv with cable, DVD and Blue Ray player and more than 1500 movies (most of them in Italian language but also many in English and in other languages).
A lovely balcony with table and chairs and plenty of plants is a great help in the scorching hot season.
The flat also has a shared office room with a vintage desk, HP color printer and design armchairs, a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, a laundry area with a washing machine.
Wi-Fi Internet connection (Fastweb) is available 24/7.
A regular cleaning service is included in the rent (every 7-10 days, all shared areas, except for the bedrooms).
Price: EUR 660/month all bills included (heating, gas, electricity, water, phone, internet, shared areas cleaning, community taxes, garbage tax, public tv tax).
Two persons live in the house: Emiliano (45, speaks Italian, English, Spanish) and Cecilia (42, speaks Italian, English).
We are polite, well-educated, quiet, clean, tidy and responsible persons, and we are used to live in a shared flat.
Our ideal flatmate would be a female but we are open to male flatmates too. Nationality and language barrier should not be a reason to worry, because we speak English and Spanish and understand some French too.
The flatmate we are looking for must be a responsible, clean and tidy person: we are nice and sociable people but we would not feel confortable living in a "college dorm" type of situation. Ideally the new flatmate should be a worker (i.e.: not someone who spends most of their time hanging around in the flat). Keeping the area clean and tidy is a top priority. Visitors are welcome, but possibly not too often and certainly never unannounced. Inviting friends or relatives to sleep in the flat should be kept to the bare minimum: less often than once every two months and never for more than one or two nights (maximum). There is a weekly cleaning service for the communal areas of the flat, but this clearly doesn't imply that we don't need to do our best to clean after ourselves, especially when we use the kitchen and every other shared area of the flat: this is by far the most important rule of the flat and we are really adamant about keeping it really clean and really tidy. We are aware that the tone that we use to describe the house rules may sound harsh and maybe even grumpy, but we are actually nice and friendly persons, it's just that too often we found ourselves in a situation where the new flatmate was like "Oh, I thought that keeping it clean just meant not keeping it too dirty", and that is a big issue with us: we want to make sure that we are on the same page with our next flatmate, and sharing the place with someone clean, tidy and responsible makes all the difference in the world to us.
