Amsterdam
Apartment in a beautiful green neighborhood. During a long backpack trip with our family, we are looking for someone who wants to look after our apartment in Amsterdam, near neighborhood The Pijp. This means emptying the mailbox, keeping the apartment warm and ry, watering the plants and, above all, enjoying the apartment.
The apartment has lots of light, 2 bedrooms, 2 balconies, lots of windows and a communal backyard with picnic tables, toys and a trampoline. It is small (75m2), but nice and zen. Especially if you are traveling and need to work, there is a good workplace set up and I can really enjoy the sunlight and nature in front of the windows and the various parks and beautiful walks during lunchtime.
Location
It is a quiet, child-friendly neighborhood with lots of different parks and area's. Within 5-10 minutes you are in the beautiful countryside and within 10 minutes also in the hustle and bustle of De Pijp. That is one of the main reasons why my wife and I have lived here for 8 years. We love this quiet and green neighborhood with many parks, playgrounds and the Amstel river. But also cozy terraces and shops. The popular Maasstraat with authentic shops, trendy restaurants and real Amsterdam cafés is right around the corner (2 minutes walk).
If you like walking, running, rowing or (race) cycling or other sports, you have a wide choice and variety. The Amstel River, Beatrix Park and the large Amstel Park (our favorite) are within a 5-minute walk. And if you really want to get into nature, within a 10-minute run you are 'really' outside among the windmills, farms and Amstel river. Or do you feel like going for a swim? The Miranda swimming pool is also within a 5-minute walk.
Would you prefer more hustle and bustle? It is a 5-10 minute bike ride to the famous neighborhood De Pijp. Together with the neighborhood De Jordaan, it is the most popular area of Amsterdam, full of shops, good restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.
Are your traveling with kids? The neighborhood is very child-friendly. Various playgrounds, petting zoo, beautiful swimming pool (Mirandabad), miniature golf and other activities within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
As for public transportation, Bus, tram, metro station and even train station (RAI) are just around the corner. Within a few minutes you can be in De Pijp or downtown city centre within 15 minutes. But the most fun is exploring Amsterdam by bike. You can rent one around the corner at the train station for €4.45 per day or you can use on of our bicycles.
Cozy, bright and romantic corner one bedroom apartment on the first floor of a three story house in the center of Amsterdam. Located right on the Brouwersgracht - one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam. Location - old Jordaan is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and vibrant areas in Amsterdam and in the world. Shopping & entertainment wise is within walking distance and the whole city is easily accessible by bike.
The apartment contains a fully equipped open-plan kitchen (Boretti stove, Smeg refrigerator, Nespresso machine), a country house sink with all the utensils for hobby chefs. The bathroom boasts an amazing rain shower and sitting tub for two. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with a down duvet and hypoallergenic pillows – it’s famous for being really comfy – and it even has a canal view.

Light and sunny, furnished classical and cozy. The balcony on the street side is faced east so you can drink your coffee in the rising sun. On the back side you can enjoy a glass of wine in the sunset! It’s located in a super lively and very popular street where neighbours, shop- and restaurant-owners know each other :-) It's such a nice area! Feel free to ask any question! [ps: looks slightly bigger due to wide angle lens]
De ruimte
Open plan kitchen with a balcony on the west, on the east the living-room with a smaller balcony. A small bathroom, a modest bedroom in the back and the guest room in the front of the house. As you might have suspected, I like antique. All the furniture I bought at the Amsterdam auction (Veilinghuis De Zwaan)
Preferring a minimum stay of 3-6 months, starting at the 1st of the month. These longer stays are only possible through a regular renting contract: the city of Amsterdam regulated renting out for tourism to a max of 30 days each year. Renting for a longer period of time can therefore unfortunately not all be arranged through this platform, but being the platform where you found this property I always try to book as much days as possible through here.
Welcome to my flat! :-) It’s not perfect, But.. clean, cosy and comfortable. If you’re only here for partying, don’t rent this place; the house has thin walls -like every house in this poorly build, but extremely popular area (de Pijp). I’m very lucky living between neighbours who use the stairs, the doors very quiet after around 22:00. Music can be played, but not too loud and rather inside than on the balcony. Rather without a techno/ strong bass kind of vibe. Also, please handle my interior with care, since I normally just live here (it’s not commercial renting), nothing is build ‘idiot-proof’. The accessories are mostly from Argentina. (with a sofa bed; changeable from 80 to 160 cm’s; mattresses are thin (7 or 14 cm). It’s fine, but not great, a grown-up shouldn’t sleep on it for weeks. Note; very steep stairs to the apartment!
